Welcome to Shotton Partnership 2000 Ltd

Established in 1998, proud to open our new Community Hub in 2020

Working for over 20 years in the community of Shotton Colliery.

The History of Shotton Partnership

Shotton Partnership was established in 1998 by a small group of local residents, most of whom are still with the Partnership today.

These residents had heard that there was funding available to help regenerate and develop local communities and, wanting to help Shotton, they sought advice on how to access the funding.

From a small group of volunteers, whose first project was to set up and manage Shotton I.T. Resource Centre, the Partnership has developed into a successful, well-respected community organisation, managing a budget of around £125,000 a year.  In 2001 we became a company limited by guarantee with charitable aims and, in 2006, we were granted charitable status by the Charities Commission.  These changes in governance have allowed access to a much wider range of funding.

The Partnership keeps up to date with all new initiatives, at government, county and local level, to ensure that the community of Shotton continues to benefit and, over the years, the Partnership has become the first port of call for outside agencies when they wish to consult with the community.

By working in partnership with residents and other agencies we maximise resources and explore all opportunities which help to improve the quality of life for the community of Shotton.

We are very grateful for the support from our Funders over the years.
